Radio receiver dials are projected on the floor of the exhibition hall corridor. Moving across these dials, the visitor functions as a mediator switching radio waves as he or
she moves on. Digits stand for radio stations. Walking over the digits, the viewer turns on the sounds of various cities and countries, listens to the voices of the planet. The
installation offers a novel view upon a certain way of virtual traveling, making a figurative expression real in its form.

The Day of Radio is celebrated on May 7 in our country. It was on this day in 1895 when Alexander Ivanovich Popov showed the first functioning radio receiver in the world.

На полы в коридоре выставочного зала проецируется изображение шкалы радиоприемника. Передвигаясь по этой шкале, посетитель служит медиатором, включая по мере движения то одну, то другую радиоволну. Цифры означают радиостанции. Проходя по цифрам, человек включает звуки разных городов и стран, слушает голоса планеты. Инсталляция дает новый взгляд на один из способов виртуального путешествия, придавая образному выражению буквальную форму.

День Радио отмечается в нашей стране 7 мая. Именно в этот день русский ученый Александр Иванович Попов в 1895 году продемонстрировал действие первого в мире радиоприемника.
